Hi. I’m Marten, a Senior Designer / Art Director from Amsterdam who aims to design the best products on the internet. With a big love for print and branding my goal is to tell stories by creating digital experiences where everything comes together; from identity to content and from usability to conversion.
Some of my highlights were working on the new website for the Van Gogh Museum with 8 million visitors a year, creating a magical experience for department store De Bijenkorf, designing the brand new website and audiotour for Mauritshuis and creating the luxury lighting shop for Flos. These projects got recognized with Webby Awards, Lovie Awards, FWA’s, Awwwards, CSS Design Awards and many honorees.
Because I love to see what other people and agencies are creating I’m a judge at Awwwards, the Webby Awards, Lovie Awards, Anthem Awards and Website v/h Jaar. I’m also representing DEPT® within the Dutch Digital Design organization and interviewing other designers and creatives via Instagram. The projects I worked on got mentioned by Pinterest, Communication Arts, Digital Arts, RTL Nieuws, Muzli, Godly, Dutch Digital Design, The Drum and others. In 2022 my work at Dept and within the design communitiy got recognized with the ‘Best Designer’ award at the Dutch Interactive Awards.
Currently me and my colleagues are building a talented and exciting digital design team at DEPT® where I aim to keep the quality as high as possible.
